Insurance, Covers and Waivers

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
In case of damage to the car’s bodywork, the most you’ll pay towards repairs covered by the Collision Damage Waiveris the damage excess. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms of the rental agreement. It doesn’t coverother parts of the car (e.g. glass, wheels, interior, roof or undercarriage), or charges (e.g. for towing oroff-road time), or anything in the car (e.g. child seats, GPS devices or personal belongings).

Third-Party Liability (TPL)
TPL covers the driver’s liability for injuries and property damage which are covered by the policy. Any injuries tothe driver or damage to the rental car are not covered. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms of therental agreement.

Theft Protection (TP)
If the car is stolen, the most you’ll pay is the theft excess. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms ofthe rental agreement.

FDW – Full Damage Waiver
The renter is fully released of the liability for any car damage provided he/she accepts and signs the relevantterms ofthe company’s contract and pays the amount of:

PAI – Personal Accident Insurance:

The renter is not covered by a “Driver’s Insurance” (PAI), unless he/she accepts and signs the relevant term of thecompany’s contract and pays the amount of: 10€/ rental day for all categories of vehicles.

Maximum amount of insurance compensation payable: 15,000 Euros.

LW: Tire and glass break coverage:
The renter is fully released of the liability for any damage to the car’s tires or glass only provided he/sheacceptsand signs the relevant terms of the company’s contract and pays the amount of 10€/ rental day for allcategories.

Main condition for the above coverage is the absence of negligence, even slight, or of unlawful conduct during thevehicle’s rental.

Theft & Fire Protection
The renter is fully released of the liability for any damage to the car in the event of fire or theft, providedhe/she accepts and signs the relevant terms of the company’s contract and pays the amount of: 10€/ rental day

Cover Arrangements
Please make sure you read the terms and conditions of the cover you receive when signing the rental agreement atpick-up, to find out about the policy’s exclusions and limits.

Production of a valid license for driving in the Greek territory and the E.U., issued at least 1 year prior to therental’s starting date, is required. Citizens of countries outside the E.U. are required to be in possession of avalid international driving license, along with producing the national driving license.

Forms of Identification
A passport or identity card is required.

Rental Voucher / e-Voucher
Your voucher proves that the car is booked in the main driver’s name.
At pick-up, the car hire company will require EITHER a printed copy of the customer's voucher OR an e-Voucher. Ifthis is not presented, the car hire company may not allow the car to be picked up.

A valid credit card in the name of the main driver must be presented as guarantee for the rental. Our local carrental partner may reserve an amount of 600-1500 Euro (depending on your selected car group) as guarantee, whichwill be released after the end of the rental period if no damage/theft has occurred. The Card will also be requiredto pay for local fees, extra equipment and anything purchased additionally at the car hire counter .In the eventthat you fail to present a valid credit card or lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card, car rentalagent may refuse to release the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed

23 years old is the minimum age requirement for using cars of categories A,B,C and D and 25 years of age is theminimum age requirement for the rest of car categories.

The renter has to return the car with the same quantity of fuel it had when collected. In case the car is returnedwith a quantity of fuel less than the original (namely, less than the quantity of fuel the vehicle had whencollected by the customer), the customer shall be charged with the fuel difference. No customer refund is providedin case of the car returned with a quantity of fuel greater than that collected. Vehicles are delivered with aminimum quantity of fuel, corresponding to ¼ of the reservoir.

The charge for each additional driver is 4€/day. The maximum number of drivers is set at 3 persons.

This section shows charges that you’ll pay at the counter.
If the Vehicle is returned later than the time specified in the voucher, the supplier will apply a charge.
You are responsible for any charges and fines, including tolls, speeding tickets and parking or traffic fines.

Additional extras should be requested at the time of booking, and paid for at the time of pick-up. Please note thatwecannot guarantee their availability. Prices are controlled by the car hire company and may be subject to change.

GPS
The charge for GPS is set at 7€/day, upon request by the customer and based on the company’s availability; themaximumcharge is set at 50€/rental.

Child seat
The charge for child seat is set at 5€/day upon request by the customer and based on the company’s availability; themaximum charge is set at 50€/rental.

Snow chains
The charge for snow chains is set at 10€/day upon request by the customer and based on the company’s availability;themaximum charge is set at 80€/rental

Free mileage is provided for rentals of more than 3 days’ duration. For rentals of a duration less than 3 days,pricesinclude a 100 km/day limitation. In the latter case, should the renter wish for free mileage, it can opt for thefreemileage package, at a charge according to the pricelist applicable from time to time. Otherwise, for each additionalkilometer over and above 100km/day, the customer will be charged, upon return of the vehicle, with an amount of0.05€+VAT per kilometer for passenger cars, or with 0.15€+VAT per km for minivans.

Flight Details
If you are arriving by plane, please tell us your flight number. We cannot be held responsible if a problem withyourflight stops you picking up your car.

Out of station deliveries – collections
Deliveries and collections out of stations take place upon request by the customer. The extra charge fordeliveries-collections within cities is 15€+VAT, while for out-of-town deliveries-collections, the cost is 25€+VAT,plus1.45€+VAT per km.

After Hours deliveries-collections
Customer extra charge: 25€.

One way rentals are allowed between specific stations with an extra charge.

Transport and driving of the car outside the borders of the Greek Territory is prohibited. Driving of the car out of the country is allowed exceptionally and only upon written permission by the company and payment of the amount which the company shall determine in each case.

For the car’s transport by ship, the company’s written approval is required.

Accident
In case of an accident, the customer is charged with 15€ for the accident file administration costs.

Any additional services will be subject to any applicable sales taxes and location fees.

Toll fees are not included in your rental price.

If you’ve incurred any charges or fines, the car hire company will try to contact you when the authorities ask them for the driver. This could be months after your rental – and you’ll have to pay the company’s administration fee as well as the original charge.

To make sure you understand the rules and laws about driving hire cars at home and abroad, it’s essential you readtheTerms & Conditions in full before you leave to pick your car up.

In particular, please make sure you know what documents and other paperwork you must take with you (e.g. drivinglicense, forms of identification, and payment cards) and what you’ll need to pay for at the car hire counter. If youdon’t have everything you need, the car hire company may not let you pick the car up.By making this booking, you are confirming that you have read and accept our Terms & Conditions.

Accident or Breakdown
In the event of a breakdown, accident or mechanical difficulties, you must call the car hire company immediately.For accidents, a police report and an incident report from the car hire counter will be required.

Roadside Assistance
Most car hire companies will provide some kind of emergency roadside assistance service, for which you may have topayextra.

Lost Keys
If you lose your key(s), you will be charged the cost of replacement.

Seatbelt
Whatever country you’re driving in, driver and passengers must wear seatbelts if fitted,wherever they’resitting in the car.

Price Calculation
If you pick the car up any later or bring it back any earlier, you will not receive a refund for unused time.

Flight Details
If you are arriving by plane, please tell us your flight number so we can pass it on to your rental company.

After the confirmation of the booking no deposit can be refunded

No-Show
A ‘No-show’ is when you:

  • wish to cancel but don’t tell us before your rental is due to start,
  • fail to pick the car up at the arranged time and date,
  • fail to provide the documentation that’s required to pick the car up,
  • fail to provide a credit card in the main driver’s name with enough available funds on it.

In all of these cases, you’ll receive no refund of the money you’ve paid.
The car hire company reserves the right to refuse the car to any customer who fails to arrive on time with allnecessarydocumentation and a credit card with enough available funds for the car’s deposit.

Prior to the pick up of the vehicle, any modification of the reservation is made by Greek-Ecocars.
No changing fee applies to modifications made prior to the pick-up date.
Upon pick up of the vehicle, any modification is made following consultation with the local partner who deliveredthe vehicle.
In case you have received the vehicle and you want to reduce the rental time, Greek- Ecocars will not refund part ofthe deposit,and it is solely up to the local car provider if they agree to reimburse you for part of the rent you paid on pickup.

All authorized drivers of HERTZ vehicles are covered against damages from fire to the rented vehicle and Liabilityinsurance to the Third Party death, injury and property. Both coverages are subject to the General Terms of HERTZinsurance contract.

Personal Accident Coverage (PAC)
For a charge of €6 per day, Personal Accident Coverage can be obtained covering driver’s medical expenses resultingfrom an accident with the rented vehicle up to €1500 and for the loss of life or total/partial permanentdisablement: up to €50,000.

Cover Agreements
Please make sure you read the terms and conditions of the cover you receive when signing the rental agreement atpick-up, to find out about the policy’s exclusions and limits.
Policies normally exclude things such as windscreens, glass, wheels, tyres, undercarriage, interior, personalbelongings, towing charges & off-road time – as well as any ‘extra equipment’ hired from the car hire company, suchas child seats and GPS devices.
Note that your cover will be invalidated by negligence, refuelling errors or breaking the terms of the rentalagreement (for example, by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs).

When picking the car up, the main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a full driving license intheir name.
All drivers must have held their driving license for at least 1 year.

Same to same
Fuel is paid by client and must return the vehicle with the same amount as he collected or the difference will becharged locally.

Gasoline / Re-Charge Pre-Payment Policy
For rental periods of 3 days or longer and at the start of rental, the renter is required to pre-pay the cost of anypetrol in the tank of the vehicle to be rented. Upon return and only then, of the rented vehicle, the renter mayrequesta refund of the cost for any remaining amount of fuel in the tank, which if less than that of initial pre-paidquantity,a Refueling Service Charges will be applied.
For the electric car groups, the battery level of the vehicle upon return by the renter should at least 15%, whichifless the Re-charge Service Charge will be applied.

Every collection or delivery which does not take place at a Hertz location shall be charged €14 (city rate). Outsidethecity limits there will be an additional charge o €0.60/km for categories A, B, J, €1.20/km for group 9, €1.80/km forgroups 3, 9L, YP and €0.90/km for all other categories.

The charge for every delivery or collection Outside Working Hours is €23.

Applicable between Autohellas-Hertz locations following a written authorization and a special charge agreement with Hertz.

Allowed only with the prior written agreement with Autohellas-Hertz.

Included in Rates.
In case of immobilization of an electric car due to low battery level the renter will be charged a fee of €25, for thetransportation of the vehicle to the nearest Autohellas-Hertz charging point.

All rates and charges in this brochure are subjected to V.A.T. At some offices a municipal tax of 0.5% is added to the rental rate.

The Company reserves the right to provide a different car model to that originally reserved of an equivalent or higher model type.

In case of an accident due to the renter’s liability, renter has the obligation to pay to Autohellas-Hertz a non refundable fee of €14 to cover administration expenses.

Zero excess
For the Zero (0) excess option where no deposit is being required, there is an extra fee of 3 euros(VAT included) per day. Underneath and roof of the car are not covered by any insurance company.Glasses andmirrors are not covered.Tires and wheels are not covered.

The renter must hold a valid European or International Driving License, issued at least one year before the rental. Car will not be provided to renters without a European or International Driving License.
An International Driving Permit is required for Non-EU citizens and for all drivers whose national driving licence is printed with non-Roman Alphabet.

A passport or identity card is required.
Rental Voucher / eVoucher
Your voucher proves that the car is booked in the main driver’s name.
At pick-up, the car hire company will require EITHER a printed copy of the customer's voucher OR an e-Voucher. If this is not presented, the car hire company may not allow the car to be picked up.

When picking up the vehicle, the presentation of a single credit card in the name of the title holder of the rentalcontract will be required in order to provide a deposit for the fuel tank and, where necessary, for the vehicleexcess. This card will also be used to pay the costs of cars rental, fuel and other local extras.

Flight Details
If you are arriving by plane, please tell us your flight number. We cannot be held responsible if a problem with your flight stops you picking up your car.

Hotel Deliveries / Collections within the city limits are free of charge. (Please note that for Ag. Nikolaos, Crete,thedistance is covered from Heraklion station, so the required fee will be applied based on the distance).
Out of the city limit charges will apply depending on the distance.

Athens and Thessaloniki downtown hotel deliveries / collections apply an extra charge of 25 euro.
In regions where hotel delivery service is not provided, an extra fee may apply.

For Deliveries/collections to Port Agios Nikolaos, in Zakynthos apply with an extra charge of 25 euro.

Piraeus Port deliveries / collections apply an extra charge of 50 euro.

Out of hours deliveries or collections will apply with an extra charge of 25 euro to be paid locally.

One-way rentals in the islands is 100 euro.

Transportation between the islands is not allowed, will not be provided service in case of breakdown and is not covered by the insurance.

Cross border rentals are not allowed.

Ferrying the vehicle is not allowed.

Any additional services will be subject to any applicable sales taxes and location fees.

There is a grace period of two (2) hours at the drop off time. Over two (2) hours delayed renter will be charged an additional day.

In case of accident / of tickets/fines, the customer will be charged an administration fee of 15 euros (VAT included) per case.
In case of police removal of the vehicle’s license plate you will be charged 2-days rental.

For excessive dirt of the vehicle, a biological cleaning will be charged for 100 euro.

Toll fees are not included in your rental price.

If you’ve incurred any charges or fines, the car hire company will try to contact you when the authorities ask them for the driver. This could be months after your rental – and you’ll have to pay the company’s administration fee as well as the original charge.

To make sure you understand the rules and laws about driving hire cars at home and abroad, it’s essential you readthe Terms & Conditions in full before you leave to pick your car up.

In particular, please make sure you know what documents and other paperwork you must take with you (e.g. drivinglicense, forms of identification, and payment cards) and what you’ll need to pay for at the car hire counter. Accident or Breakdown
In the event of a breakdown, accident or mechanical difficulties, you must call the car hire company immediately.For accidents, a police report and an incident report from the car hire counter will be required.

Roadside Assistance
Most car hire companies will provide some kind of emergency roadside assistance service, for which you may have topayextra.

Lost Keys
If you lose your key(s), you will be charged the cost of replacement.

Seatbelt
Whatever country you’re driving in, driver and passengers must wear seatbelts if fitted, whereverthey’re sitting in the car.

Price Calculation
If you pick the car up any later or bring it back any earlier, you will not receive a refund for unused time.

Flight Details
If you are arriving by plane, please tell us your flight number so we can pass it on to your rental company.

After the confirmation of the booking no deposit can be refunded

No-Show
A ‘No-show’ is when you:

  • wish to cancel but don’t tell us before your rental is due to start,
  • fail to pick the car up at the arranged time and date,
  • fail to provide the documentation that’s required to pick the car up,
  • fail to provide a credit card in the main driver’s name with enough available funds on it.

In all of these cases, you’ll receive no refund of the money you’ve paid.
The car hire company reserves the right to refuse the car to any customer who fails to arrive on time with allnecessarydocumentation and a credit card with enough available funds for the car’s deposit.

Prior to the pick up of the vehicle, any modification of the reservation is made by Greek-Ecocars.
No changing fee applies to modifications made prior to the pick-up date.
Upon pick up of the vehicle, any modification is made following consultation with the local partner who deliveredthevehicle.
In case you have received the vehicle and you want to reduce the rental time, Greek- Ecocars will not refund part ofthedeposit,and it is solely up to the local car provider if they agree to reimburse you for part of the rent you paid on pickup.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
In case of damage to the car’s bodywork, the most you’ll pay towards repairs covered by the Collision Damage Waiveristhe damage excess. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms of the rental agreement. It doesn’t coverotherparts of the car (e.g. glass, wheels, interior, roof or undercarriage), or charges (e.g. for towing or off-roadtime),or anything in the car (e.g. child seats, GPS devices or personal belongings).

Third-Party Liability (TPL)
TPL covers the driver’s liability for injuries and property damage which are covered by the policy. Any injuries tothedriver or damage to the rental car are not covered. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms of the rentalagreement.

Theft Protection (TP)
If the car is stolen, the most you’ll pay is the theft excess. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms oftherental agreement.

1) Collision Damage Waiver
If the rental car is damaged by a car accident or fire, the renter will be covered for the cost of the repairs ofthecompany’s vehicle. The renter, has to pay up to a maximum of €900 for car groups A, B, N, €1.100 for car groups D,E, F,G €1.350 for car groups C, I, J, K, M and €2.000 for car groups L, O, P, H.

2) Theft Protection
This covers the cost of replacing the rental car if it gets stolen. The renter may have to pay an excess, whichvariesby country. In Greece the renter will have to pay an excess up to €900 for car groups A, B, N, €1.100 for car groupsD,E, F, G €1.350 for car groups C, I, J, K, M and €2.000 for car groups L, O, P, H.

3) Zero Excess
Eliminates the excess amounts of Collision Damage Cover (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP) for all car groups.Mandatorycondition is that the renter completes and signs the Company’s Accident Report before the end of the rental. Ifanothervehicle is involved in the accident, it is mandatory that the renter calls the road assistance company for therecordingof the accident and the photographing of the vehicles.

4) Personal Accident Insurance PAI
For €2,5 per day for all car groups covers the renter of the vehicle of up to€50.000 in case of death, total or partial disability, plus up to €2.000 formedical expenses incurred, due to the accident. This insurance is valid only between 18 and 75 years of age, ontheday of the lease.

5) Super Personal Accident Insurance
This is an additional to Personal Accident Insurance purchased for €3,5 per day for all cargroupsincreasing the renter's coverage up to €80.000 for death, €100.000 for totalorpartial disability and €5.000 for clinical expenses. This insurance is valid only between 18 and 75 years ofage, onthe day of the lease.

6) Windscreen ProtectionCovers the glass damage of the vehicle with€3 per day for all car groups.

7) Roadside Safety Net
With €2,5 per day for all car groups covers:
-Lockout Service: the rental company will assist the driver gain entry when keys are locked inside the vehicleorwhen he has lost the keys.
-Flat Battery: If the vehicle experiences battery failure, the rental company will provide a jump start.
-Tyre assistance: Replacement of a flat or damaged tyre with the spare, or get the car towed to the nearestservicefacility .
-Fuel Delivery - If the vehicle runs out of fuel, the rental company will deliver fuel to driver’slocation.

When picking the car up, the main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a full driving license intheir name.
All drivers must have held their driving license for at least 1 year.Driver must hold a valid European driving license (for EU countries) or a valid International and national license(for countries that don’t belong to EU).

A valid credit card in the first name and surname (no abbreviations) of the lead driver must be presented at therental desk in order to pre-authorize a deposit. The credit card(s) must be embossed and a PIN number may berequired.
In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card, there is a lack of sufficient funds available on thecredit card or the credit card is not in the lead driver's name, the car rental office may refuse to release thevehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.

All cars they should be returned with the same quantity of fuel in the tank as on delivery. If the car is returnedwith less fuel, there is a charge of 12€ for refuel service plus the cost of the missing fuel. Fuel left in the tankis not refundable.

The charge for each additional driver is €4 per day, with maximum charge of €40, excluding VAT per rental agreement.

Snow Chains: Snow chains are available, at specific stations, on automatic confirmation at the timeofreservation. The charge for this service is €3 per day, with maximum charge of €30, excluding VAT, per rentalagreement.

GPS: GPS is available at specific stations, on automatic confirmation at the time of reservation.Thecharge for this service is as stated in the below table.

Deliveries or collections of the rented cars are available upon request at a cost of €0,75 per klm, excluding VAT. Minimum charge for delivery or collection service is €18, excluding VAT.

If the renter wants to pick-up a car during out of office hours, he must request this at the time of reservation. The charge for out of hour’s service is €23 excluding VAT.

The return of the car to a location other than the one the car was picked-up from is possible. Charges may apply based on the distance between the two stations.

Allowed only with the prior written agreement with the rental company.

Any additional services will be subject to any applicable sales taxes and location fees.

The renter assumes full responsibility for traffic violations and pays the respective fines. In case that the renter will not pay the fine, Drive will charge the fine cost plus administrative expenses.

One rental day is calculated as 24 hours and 29 minutes. If the rental exceeds this period, then an additional day will be charged.

Rentals starting at an Airport Location: A surcharge of 9%, calculated on the basic price, will beadded to the cost of all rentals starting at any rental company’s airport location in Greece.

Refueling Service Charge: If the Renter returns the car with less fuel than the fuel delivered, there will bea charge of € 12 (flatfee), plus VAT (Refueling Service Charge), plus the cost of the missing fuel.

Vehicle Registration Fee: Vehicle registration fee is charged at €1 per day, with maximum charge of€14, excluding VAT per rental agreement.

Incident Report Fee: In case of an accident or traffic violation fine, there is a non-refundablefee of €30, excluding VAT, to cover administration expenses, irrespectively of renter’s liability.

Late Return Fee: All customers must inform the rental company about change of plans in a timelymanner, in order to avoid being charged the Late Return Fee. If the car is returned over 7 hours late from theagreed date/time, then a Late Return Fee of 15€ excluding VAT will be charged for every 24Hr period the car isreturned late plus the cost of an additional day of rental

Personal Accident Coverage (PAC)
For a charge of €7 per day, Personal Accident Coverage can be obtained covering driver´s and passenger´s medicalexpenses resulting from an accident with the rented and €17,600 respectively. Aggregate indemnity for every accidentislimited to €88,000.

Cover Agreements
Please make sure you read the terms and conditions of the cover you receive when signing the rental agreement atpick-up, to find out about the policy’s exclusions and limits.
Policies normally exclude things such as windscreens, glass, wheels, tyres, undercarriage, interior, personalbelongings, towing charges & off-road time – as well as any ‘extra equipment’ hired from the car hire company, suchaschild seats and GPS devices.
Note that your cover will be invalidated by negligence, refuelling errors or breaking the terms of the rentalagreement(for example, by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs).

When picking the car up, the main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a full driving license intheirname.

In case of an accident due to the renter’s liability, renter has the obligation to pay to Thrifty a non refundable fee of €18 to cover administration expenses.

Toll fees are not included in your rental price.

If you’ve incurred any charges or fines, the car hire company will try to contact you when the authorities ask them for the driver. This could be months after your rental – and you’ll have to pay the company’s administration fee as well as the original charge.

Accident or Breakdown
In the event of a breakdown, accident or mechanical difficulties, you must call the car hire companyimmediately.
For accidents, a police report and an incident report from the car hire counter will be required.

Roadside Assistance
Most car hire companies will provide some kind of emergency roadside assistance service, for which you may have topay extra.

Lost Keys
If you lose your key(s), you will be charged the cost of replacement.

Seatbelt
Whatever country you’re driving in, driver and passengers must wear seatbelts if fitted, wherever they’resitting in the car.

Price Calculation
If you pick the car up any later or bring it back any earlier, you will not receive a refund for unused time.

After the confirmation of the booking no deposit can be refunded

No-Show
A ‘No-show’ is when you:

  • wish to cancel but don’t tell us before your rental is due to start,
  • fail to pick the car up at the arranged time and date,
  • fail to provide the documentation that’s required to pick the car up,
  • fail to provide a credit card in the main driver’s name with enough available funds on it.

In all of these cases, you’ll receive no refund of the money you’ve paid.
The car hire company reserves the right to refuse the car to any customer who fails to arrive on time with allnecessarydocumentation and a credit card with enough available funds for the car’s deposit.

Prior to the pick up of the vehicle, any modification of the reservation is made by Greek-Ecocars.
No changing fee applies to modifications made prior to the pick-up date.
Upon pick up of the vehicle, any modification is made following consultation with the local partner who deliveredthevehicle.
In case you have received the vehicle and you want to reduce the rental time, Greek- Ecocars will not refund part ofthedeposit,and it is solely up to the local car provider if they agree to reimburse you for part of the rent you paid on pickup.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
In case of damage to the car’s bodywork, the most you’ll pay towards repairs covered by the Collision Damage Waiveristhe damage excess. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms of the rental agreement. It doesn’t coverotherparts of the car (e.g. glass, wheels, interior, roof or undercarriage), or charges (e.g. for towing or off-roadtime),or anything in the car (e.g. child seats, GPS devices or personal belongings).

Third-Party Liability (TPL)
TPL covers the driver’s liability for injuries and property damage which are covered by the policy. Any injuries tothedriver or damage to the rental car are not covered. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms of the rentalagreement.

Theft Protection (TP)
If the car is stolen, the most you’ll pay is the theft excess. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms oftherental agreement.

  • Traffic fines, sanctions and judicial costs related to traffic violations or law and tolls.
  • All costs derived from the use of the incorrect and/or lack of petrol.
  • Goldcar is not to be held liable for items stolen, forgotten or lost inside the vehicle. It is recommendedhaving these items covered through personal travel cover.

  • If customers load the car with more than the stated capacity or vehicles are taken “off-road” (unpaved roads).
  • It is not permitted to remove the vehicles seats.
  • If the driver is found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and/or found using their cellular phone atthe time of the accident.

When picking the car up, the main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a full driving license intheirname.
All drivers must have held their driving license for at least 1 year.
An International Driving Permit may be required for drivers from outside the European Union.If customers are from the EU, they only need the country’s driving license, except if the driving license is not inLatin script. If it is not in Latin script then they need an International Driver’s License as well as theircountry’sdriving license.

A passport or identity card is required.

Rental Voucher / eVoucher
Your voucher proves that the car is booked in the main driver’s name.
At pick-up, the car hire company will require EITHER a printed copy of the customer's voucher OR an e-Voucher. If thisis not presented, the car hire company may not allow the car to be picked up.

When picking up the vehicle, the presentation of a single credit or debit card in the name of the title holder ofthe rental contract will be required in order to provide a deposit for the fuel tank and, where necessary, for thevehicle excess. This card will also be used to pay the costs of cars rental, fuel and other local extras.

Take into account that no refund on a debit card is possible if the Goldcar representative does not physically havethe card.

Drivers must be 21 years and have held a valid driving license for a minimum of 12 months. Customers who are underthe age of 25 will be able to drive our vehicles but they will have to pay a surcharge per day with a maximum chargeof per rental (please, see the specific costs in the table below). The customers who are 25 will not pay thissurcharge.
The customers who have held the driving license for less than 4 years will also have to pay a fee per day with amaximum charge per rental (please, see the specific costs in the table below). There will apply only one charge ifthe customer is under the age of 25 and has had a driving license less than 4 years.

Full Fuel SDC/CRS: The Classic Return System: this option includes a full tank of fuel and must be paid on collection of the vehicle. The price of fuel is determined based on the price of the petrol stations. Goldcar will block the fuel tank + the “possible” penalty of 50€ for not returning the vehicle full (DEBIT CARDS -> the tank is charged on collection). Goldcar will unblock the full amount if the vehicle is returned full. If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank, the unblock of the amount paid will have a deduction equal to the value of the missing liters of fuel (according to the current petrol station prices) plus a penalization of 50€.

Baby seats/Booster seats must be fitted by the parent or guardian. Goldcar’s staff is not permitted to help with thefitting of these items. The customer will always be responsible for fitting the seat.

GPS
GPS available at many of Goldcar’s locations, although it cannot be reserved in advance. If the customer would likeGPS,they must check the availability upon arrival at the pick-up location.

The cost of the GPS is:
High season 7,95€ (VAT included) per day with a maximum charge of 120€ (VAT included).
Low Season 4,95€ (VAT included) per day with a maximum charge of 70€ (VAT included).
It is necessary to leave a deposit of 90€ which will be refunded when the GPS is returned in good condition.

Goldcar will only deliver the rental vehicles to customers at their offices. In no case will Goldcar make the delivery of the vehicles to any locations other than one of their offices.

Goldcar reserves the right to refuse a car to any customer who fails to arrive on time with all necessary documentation and a credit/debit card with enough available funds for the car’s security deposit.

Goldcar has its very own Roadside Assistance Department.

S.O.S / Roadside Assistance must be notified within 48 hours if:
Theft: All thefts must be reported to the police and an original copy of the report must be obtained by thecustomer.
Accident: In case of accident or collision, the client must correctly fill out the provided form), which can befound inthe glove-box of the rental vehicle).

Any additional services will be subject to any applicable sales taxes and location fees.

If this applies to you, the cost is 45,00 € including tax per rental.

Accident Administration Fee
Goldcar charges a 55€ administration fee to the clients when they are involved in an accident (File proceedings) andhave NOT taken the Super Relax Cover.

There is one hour grace period for the return of all rental vehicles. In the event the vehicle is returned later than 59 minute past the agreed rental drop-off time stated in the contract, the cover will no longer be valid and the customer will be responsible for paying a 40€ per day late fee. In addition to the corresponding late fees, the customer must also pay the daily rental rate.

If a customer returns the vehicle earlier than the agreed upon drop-off date stated in the rental contract, Goldcar will not refund the customer for any unused days.

If a customer returns a vehicle and the vehicle documents are not in the car (after checking the car), Goldcar willproceed to charge this fee.
The cost of this fee will be as follows:
-Greece 105€ per vehicle

Customers who abandon Goldcar vehicles at any location other than the location agreed upon on the rental agreement will be responsible for the costs assumed by Goldcar Rental for the transport of the vehicle to the agreed upon drop-off location, as well as the corresponding daily rental charges and 40€ daily penalization fee.

In the cases of an accident or Vehicle breakdown, a new deposit will be necessary for the collection of a substitution vehicle. The deposit will not be necessary for any customers whom have contracted the optional Super Relax Cover.

A charge up to 180€ will be applied if the returned car requires special cleaning.

In case of breach of the duty, to respect all the laws and regulation governing the circulation of the vehicles, as proved by service/communication to Goldcar of the report for an administrative sanction from the competent Authorities (such as Police, Entities governing the expressway; port authorities, etc.) the customer shall pay Goldcar, a penalty (Fine Administration Charge of 40€), in addition to the fine or toll to which it relates.

If the rental car is damaged by a car accident or fire, the renter will be covered for the cost of the repairs ofthe company’s vehicle. The renter, has to pay up to a maximum of €900 for car groups A, B, N,€1.100 for car groups D, E, F, G €1.350 for car groups C, I, J, K, M and€2.000 for car groups L, O, P, H.

2) Theft Protection
This covers the cost of replacing the rental car if it gets stolen. The renter may have to pay an excess, whichvaries by country. In Greece the renter will have to pay an excess up to €900 for car groups A, B,N, €1.100 for car groups D, E, F, G €1.350 for car groups C, I, J, K, M and €2.000for car groups L, O, P, H.

3) Zero Excess
Eliminates the excess amounts of Collision Damage Cover (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP) for all car groups.Mandatory condition is that the renter completes and signs the Company’s Accident Report before the end of therental. If another vehicle is involved in the accident, it is mandatory that the renter calls the road assistancecompany for the recording of the accident and the photographing of the vehicles.

4) Personal Accident Insurance PAI
For €2,5 per day for all car groups covers the renter of the vehicle of up to€50.000 in case of death, total or partial disability, plus up to €2.000 formedical expenses incurred, due to the accident. This insurance is valid only between 18 and 75 years of age, on theday of the lease.

5) Super Personal Accident Insurancebr
This is an additional to Personal Accident Insurance purchased for €3,5 per day for all car groupsincreasing the renter's coverage up to €80.000 for death, €100.000 for total orpartial disability and €5.000 for clinical expenses. This insurance is valid only between 18 and 75years of age, on the day of the lease.

6) Windscreen Protection
Covers the glass damage of the vehicle with €3 per day for all car groups.

7) Roadside Safety Net
With €2,5 per day for all car groups covers:
-Lockout Service: the rental company will assist the driver gain entry when keys are locked inside the vehicle orwhen he has lost the keys.
-Flat Battery: If the vehicle experiences battery failure, the rental company will provide a jump start.
-Tyre assistance: Replacement of a flat or damaged tyre with the spare, or get the car towed to the nearest servicefacility
-Fuel Delivery - If the vehicle runs out of fuel, the rental company will deliver fuel to driver’s location.

All cars they should be returned with the same quantity of fuel in the tank as on delivery. If the car is returned with less fuel, there is a charge of 12€ for refuel service plus the cost of the missing fuel. Fuel left in the tank is not refundable.

The return of the car to a location other than the one the car was picked-up from is possible. Charges may apply based on the distance between the two stations.

Accident or Breakdown
In the event of a breakdown, accident or mechanical difficulties, you must call the car hire company immediately.For accidents, a police report and an incident report from the car hire counter will be required.

Roadside Assistance
Most car hire companies will provide some kind of emergency roadside assistance service, for which you may have topayextra.

Lost Keys
If you lose your key(s), you will be charged the cost of replacement.

Seatbelt
Whatever country you’re driving in, driver and passengers must wear seatbelts if fitted, whereverthey’re sitting in the car.

Price Calculation
If you pick the car up any later or bring it back any earlier, you will not receive a refund for unused time.

Flight Details
If you are arriving by plane, please tell us your flight number so we can pass it on to your rental company.

After the confirmation of the booking no deposit can be refunded
No-Show
A ‘No-show’ is when you:

  • wish to cancel but don’t tell us before your rental is due to start,
  • fail to pick the car up at the arranged time and date,
  • fail to provide the documentation that’s required to pick the car up,
  • fail to provide a credit card in the main driver’s name with enough available funds on it

In all of these cases, you’ll receive no refund of the money you’ve paid.
The car hire company reserves the right to refuse the car to any customer who fails to arrive on time with allnecessarydocumentation and a credit card with enough available funds for the car’s deposit.

Prior to the pick up of the vehicle, any modification of the reservation is made by Greek-Ecocars.
No changing fee applies to modifications made prior to the pick-up date.
Upon pick up of the vehicle, any modification is made following consultation with the local partner who deliveredthe vehicle.
In case you have received the vehicle and you want to reduce the rental time, Greek- Ecocars will not refund part ofthe deposit,and it is solely up to the local car provider if they agree to reimburse you for part of the rent you paid on pickup.

Insurance, Covers and Waivers

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
In case of damage to the car’s bodywork, the most you’ll pay towards repairs covered by the Collision Damage Waiveristhe damage excess. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms of the rental agreement. It doesn’t coverotherparts of the car (e.g. glass, wheels, interior, roof or undercarriage), or charges (e.g. for towing or off-roadtime),or anything in the car (e.g. child seats, GPS devices or personal belongings).

Third-Party Liability (TPL)
TPL covers the driver’s liability for injuries and property damage which are covered by the policy. Any injuries tothedriver or damage to the rental car are not covered. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms of the rentalagreement.

Theft Protection (TP)
If the car is stolen, the most you’ll pay is the theft excess. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms oftherental agreement.

What is included by Centauro SMART cover

Inclusions & exclusions of Insurance policies
All rates include Compulsory Insurance which covers Collision, Theft and accidental fire with an excess from 750€-1.500€ (Depending on car group and office). This excess must be guaranteed by either:

1)Taking out additional Centauro SMART cover. This will eradicate the excess.
2)If the customer decides not to take the additional SMART cover, then Centauro will block the excess amount on thecustomer’s credit card as a guarantee/deposit to cover any possible damages made to the vehicle. In the event of anaccident the customer will be charged the amount for the damages caused, this is decided by Centauro Rent a Car. Themaximum amount charged will be the equivalent of the excess.
The Compulsory Insurance will be valid as long as the following conditions are met:
a) The customer, in the event of a collision or damage to the vehicle, provides Centauro the full details of thethird party and possible witnesses within 48 hours, as well as a completed accident report form (provided byCentauro in every vehicle) signed by the two drivers involved in an accident and/or a police report. Without thisdocumentation Centauro is entitled to charge the Customer for the full cost of damage to the vehicle.
b) The collision, theft, fire, did not take place during unauthorized use.

What is not included by any cover

  • Damage to a third party or to the hire vehicle due to negligence or inappropriate driving.
  • Loss of child seats.
  • Loss/damage/theft of keys, aerials, jack, safety triangles and vests, windscreen wipers, petrol cap, luggagecovers,or any other fixed or mobile component of the vehicle.
  • Damage to the engine through negligence.
  • Theft of the vehicle with keys left in the ignition.
  • Damage caused to the vehicle or to persons through driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Refueling with the wrong type of petrol.
  • Speeding and parking fines incurred during the hire period are the responsibility of the driver of the vehicle.In theevent of a fine being received the amount of 40€ administration fee will be incurred for Spain, Portugal &Greece and50€ for Italy for each fine received.
  • Loss/Damage/Theft of personal belongings.
  • Damages to the vehicle outside of pick up country if the Cross Border road assistance cover has not beenpurchased.
  • In addition, the cover does not include any breach of the terms and conditions of the rental contract withCentauroRent a Car.

License Requirements

On picking up the vehicle, customers must have Passport or Identity Card, Driving License, Credit Card and the Centaurobooking number. The booking must be in the main driver’s name and the cardholder must be the main driver.
All drivers must be in possession of a full EU - valid driving license for a minimum of 1 year. The minimum age of thedriver must be 19. Drivers aged between 19 and 24 (both inclusive) or 75 or over, will be required to select anadditional obligatory supplement.
An International Driving Permit may be required for drivers from outside the European Union.
If customers are from the EU, they only need the country’s driving license, except if the driving license is not inLatin script. If it is not in Latin script then they need an International Driver’s License as well as their country’sdriving license.

Forms of Identification
A passport or identity card is required.

Rental Voucher / e-Voucher
Your voucher proves that the car is booked in the main driver’s name.
At pick-up, the car hire company will require EITHER a printed copy of the customer's voucher OR an e-Voucher. If thisis not presented, the car hire company may not allow the car to be picked up

Payment must be made with a Credit , either Visa/Visa Electron or MasterCard. The main driver must be in possessionof aCredit Card in his/her own name when picking up the car. The Card must have enough available funds to cover theexcess /deposit amount (which will be blocked on the Card for the duration of the rental). The Card will also be required topayfor local fees, extra equipment and anything purchased additionally at the car hire counter.

There are two fuel policies: Pre-purchase with partial refund or Full/Full. In both cases, fuel is charged oncollection of the vehicle, the fuel tank will be full or partly full and depending on the vehicle size, the amountcharged will be from 50€ to 135€.

Pre-purchase with partial refund
The vehicle can be returned with the petrol tank as empty as the customer wishes. Centauro will refund any unusedfuel excluding the 25€ logistical and operational charge.

Full/Full
The customer must replace the fuel they have used. If they return the vehicle with less fuel than it had when theypicked it up, they will be charge a non-refundable fuel service of 25€ plus any missing fuel.
In case of upgrade, the fuel price will be the price of fuel for the vehicle provided. This applies to allreservations. Petrol charge may change due to variances in the market.

Please note that this does notrepresentyour total excess liability which can be found in the Insurance policy and liability amounts section. If the excessis 0EUR, the deposit is set to 100,00 EUR. This amount will be held in the event of charges not covered by any insurance(i.e. damaged tire or bottom part of the vehicle, traffic violations, missing fuel etc.)

Limits the limited liability amount for car damage downto0,00€from 930,00€, to 248,00€ from 1.302,00€ and to 558,00€ from 1.860,00€, depending on the car group. FDW insurancedoesnot cover damages on the bottom part of car, the wheels, hubcaps and tires.

Theft Waiver (TW)
This insurance is optional with extra cost per day. Minimizes the liability for car theft or damages fromtheftattempt,to 930,00€, 1.302,00€ or 1.860,00€ depending on the car group. The renter is not covered in case of theft caused bynegligence (e.g. when left the car unlocked or with the key in the ignition switch).

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
This insurance is optional with extra cost per day. Covers the driver up to the sum of 15.000€ for death,totalorpartial disability and 1.000€ for hospital expenses.

Insurance coverage is NOT valid:

  • when transporting the vehicle by ferry
  • if the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • for damages caused by driving on unpaved roads
  • for damage on the bottom part, wheels, hubcaps, tires, mirrors, antenna, glass and interior
  • for loss of personal belongings
  • for accidents caused by a driver not declared in the lease contract
  • for loss or damage of the vehicle key
  • for loss or destruction of Navi GPS device, child seats, snow chains or other additional equipment

The cost of damage or loss of the car is paid even if the tenant is insured by a credit card or other insurancecompany.In this case, the tenant is obliged to pay the entire vehicle repair or replacement costs and then ask for a refundfromthe credit card or another insurance provider.

IN CASE OF ACCIDENT THE TENANT IS OBLIGED REGARDLESS OF FAULT, TO COMPLETE AN ACCIDENT FORM, ACCORDING TO ARTICLEK70 OFTHE GREEK LAW.

Authorization from Drive is required and has a charge of 25€ per direction.

Any additional services will be subject to any applicable sales taxes and location fees.

The cars are not allowed to be used for:
Driving outside the Greek borders, driving off-road, carrying heavy objects or bad use in general.

The renter assumes full responsibility for traffic violations and pays the respective fines.
In case that the renter will not pay the fine, Drive will charge the fine cost plus administrative expenses.

During receipt of the vehicle a rental agreement is signed and contains the terms and conditions.

Special cleaning
The car hire company will charge you in case of extremely dirty interior (food/drink stains, vomit, pet hair orimpurities etc)If this applies to you, the cost is 100,00 € including tax per rental.

Administrative expenses
In case of an accident or car damage, there is a non-refundable fee of 50 EUR+VAT in order to cover theadministrativeexpenses.

Toll fees are not included in your rental price.

If you’ve incurred any charges or fines, the car hire company will try to contact you when the authorities ask them for the driver. This could be months after your rental and you’ll have to pay the company’s administration fee as well as the original charge.

To make sure you understand the rules and laws about driving hire cars at home and abroad, it’s essential you readthe Terms & Conditions in full before you leave to pick your car up.

In particular, please make sure you know what documents and other paperwork you must take with you (e.g. drivinglicense, forms of identification, and payment cards) and what you’ll need to pay for at the car hire counter. Accident or Breakdown
In the event of a breakdown, accident or mechanical difficulties, you must call the car hire company immediately.For accidents, a police report and an incident report from the car hire counter will be required.

Roadside Assistance
Most car hire companies will provide some kind of emergency roadside assistance service, for which you may have topay extra.

Lost Keys
If you lose your key(s), you will be charged the cost of replacement.

Seatbelt
Whatever country you’re driving in, driver and passengers must wear seatbelts if fitted, wherever they’resitting in the car.

Price Calculation
If you pick the car up any later or bring it back any earlier, you will not receive a refund for unused time.

Flight Details
If you are arriving by plane, please tell us your flight number so we can pass it on to your rental company.

After the confirmation of the booking no deposit can be refunded

No-Show
A ‘No-show’ is when you:

  • wish to cancel but don’t tell us before your rental is due to start,
  • fail to pick the car up at the arranged time and date,
  • fail to provide the documentation that’s required to pick the car up,
  • fail to provide a credit card in the main driver’s name with enough available funds on it.

In all of these cases, you’ll receive no refund of the money you’ve paid.
The car hire company reserves the right to refuse the car to any customer who fails to arrive on time with allnecessarydocumentation and a credit card with enough available funds for the car’s deposit.

Prior to the pick up of the vehicle, any modification of the reservation is made by Greek-Ecocars.
Your first change is FREE. For any further change there is a charge of XXXXXX €
Upon pick up of the vehicle, any modification is made following consultation with the local partner who deliveredthe vehicle.
In case you have received the vehicle and you want to reduce the rental time, Greek- Ecocars will not refund partof the deposit,and it is solely up to the local car provider if they agree to reimburse you for part of the rent you paid on pickup.

Insurance, Covers and Waivers

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
In case of damage to the car’s bodywork, the most you’ll pay towards repairs covered by the Collision Damage Waiveris the damage excess. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms of the rental agreement. It doesn’t coverother parts of the car (e.g. glass, wheels, interior, roof or undercarriage), or charges (e.g. for towing oroff-road time), or anything in the car (e.g. child seats, GPS devices or personal belongings).

Third-Party Liability (TPL)
TPL covers the driver’s liability for injuries and property damage which are covered by the policy. Any injuries tothe driver or damage to the rental car are not covered. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms of therental agreement.

Theft Protection (TP)
If the car is stolen, the most you’ll pay is the theft excess. This cover is only valid if you stick to the terms ofthe rental agreement.

Full Damage Waiver (FDW)
FDW limits the liability in case of accidents to €0 (Zero) by paying the daily amount of:

Wheels / Underside and Glass (WUG)
AutoUnion Car rental provides an optional insurance which covers damages to wheels, tires, glasses or damages causedto the underside of the car as far as they were not done intentionally or as a result of negligence or oversight.This is available by paying the daily amount of €5 for all car groups

*Note: Always, a valid credit card in the name of the main driver must be presented as guarantee for the rental

**Please note that damages to the interior of the car (upholstery, dashboard, r/cd) as well as keys, wheel cover,antennas, etc are not covered by any insurance unless they were caused in an accident. Therefore, despite the extrainsurances, our car rental partner may still reserve an amount up to 200 euro for damages that are not covered byany other insurance.

Exceptions in CDW, FDW & WUG:
Charges for any of the damages written below will be charged directly to the client, the most important are thefollowing: Antenna, trays, damage to car lock, loss or damage to keys, windshield wipers, interior of the car, sparekey and car jack, hubcap, lights, gas cap,damage to upholstery of a car, damages to the roof, damages caused by roofrack and any luggage on it, extreme dirtiness in a car, personal belongings in a rented car, damage due tonegligence, fuel errors, damage to child seats and baby seats, lack of electricity because of forgotten turned onelectrical devices, loss of car documents, loss of registration plate. The car rental company, in any case, is notobligated to replace a flat tyre or damages in music devices (radio, CD/mp3 player, etc.).
Towing costs are not covered by any insurance.
Autounion car rental will not refund any telephone, taxi or hotel costs.
Autounion car rental or the car rental company will not be held responsible for anyone driving under the influenceof alcohol/drugs, causing willful damage, off road driving, driving without care and attention or damages caused bynegligence,and traffic violations.
The client will accept direct responsibility in respect of such claims.
Any unnoticed accident or damage to the vehicle may be interpreted as negligence. This may result in a charge to theclient.

Theft Protection (TP)
Is included in the booking cost, in the case of theft or fire, you must contact the police and report the incidentimmediatelly, and submit a copy of the police report, the rental agreement and the Vehicles keys to the rentallocation. Responsibility is non-waiverable in case of theft or damages due to a theft attempt (excess applies).Theft protection does not apply beyond the rental date agreed with the pickup location. For details of thisinsurance, please check with the supplier on collection of the Vehicle.

Additional Insurances
Additional Insurances such as Ferry Insurance, WUG (wheels underside glass) are available to purchase.

License Requirements
The main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a full driving license in their name.All drivers must have held their driving license for at least 1 year.
All driving licenses which have been issued within the European Community will be accepted.
International driving licenses (IDP) will be accepted.
An International Driving Permit is required for Non-EU citizens and for all drivers whose national driving licenseis printed with non-Roman Alphabet.

Forms of Identification
A Passport or ID is required.

Rental Voucher / e-Voucher
Your voucher proves that the car is booked in the main driver’s name.
At pick-up, the car hire company will require EITHER a printed copy of the customer's voucher OR an e-Voucher. Ifthis is not presented, the car hire company may not allow the car to be picked up.

A valid credit card in the name of the main driver must be presented as guarantee for the rental. Our local carrental partner may reserve an amount of 700-1200 Euro (depending on your selected car group) as guarantee, whichwill be released after the end of the rental period if no damage/theft has occurred. The Card will also be requiredto pay for local fees, extra equipment and anything purchased additionally at the car hire counter .In the eventthat you fail to present a valid credit card or lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card, car rentalagent may refuse to release the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.

Out of hours service between 21.00 to 07.30 o' clock are available with an extra charge of 26.04 euro.

One way rentals are allowed between specific stations with an extra charge.

Vehicles are NOT permitted to be taken out of Greek borders.

Vehicles can be taken, by ferry, to other parts of Greece only after coordination with the local station. However, the insurance provided does NOT cover ferry travel. Additional insurance which covers ferry travel is available upon collection of the car with an extra charge of €74,40 per rental.
